"Emergency list??"

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital

My husband was admitted to hospital and placed on the list for emergency surgery 36 hours later he still hasn't been operated on and his problem is only getting worse. He informed me that he asked for a doctor and 5 hours later he still has not been seen and that after much persuasion his fluids were finally replaced yet no more antibiotics or pain relief given leaving him extremely uncomfortable and in a lot of pain. And as he is still waiting for the operation he has now not eaten for over two days! Explain to me how this is good care and keeping your patients in the know and well looked after...two weeks ago I couldn't fault the care my nearly 2 year old son was given but my opinion on how adults are treated is completely different.
