I was impressed by the new x ray department. However I was most disgusted with the lack of patient confidentiality. The receptionist on the desk asking for my address, date of birth etc in a very loud voice, and it was impossible not to answer without everyone else in the reception hwRing everything. Then, she said in a very loud voice , "so you're in for your hands and wrists to be x rayed" This happened with every pAtient who walked in, I could tell you where they all lived, their dates of births and what they were coming in for. I felt very uncomfortable. I feel this is a massive breach of patient confidentiality and data protection. Surely, you could be shown a screen and just asked to check everything is correct. And I am quite sure it is unnecessary for the receptionist to announce what you're there for. Once going through to have my x rays it was fine. Procedures should be put in place on reception to stop this breach happening.
