"The care was first class, except ..."

What I liked

The care was first class, except for one nurse who was very abrupt and clearly showed patients that they did not enjoy their job.

The noise level Uphill ward at night was so bad that patients could not sleep double doors connecting wards were banged closed and the phone seemed to be ringing all night.

The food was awful, such a waste, many patients did not eat it. It seemed a shame when the care I received was so good in many other aspects.

What could be improved

1. Food

2. Noise at night

3. The one staff nurse relieved of they duties as they hurt quite a few patients when giving them injections or removing drips, drains etc.

Anything else?

smoking - please could patients be stopped from smoking near the main entrance to the hospital as other people have to walk past and through their smoke.
