"A stay in Chesterfield Hospital"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I was admitted on an emergency basis to the Assessment Ward following a referral from my GP. I was on the Ward within 45 minutes of arrival and seen by two doctors. Treatment began an hour later.

I was treated with utmost courtesy throughout and kept fully informed by staff as to what was happening. I was given the opportunity to ask questions at every stage.

The trauma of an emergency hospital admission was helped enormously by a staff team who were informative, friendly and open throughout. I remained in hospital for four days.

Thank you for sharing your experiences after your emergency admission to hospital. I am really pleased to read that you were treated well and felt able to ask questions and discuss your treatment. I do hope you are making a good recovery at home and I would like to pass on my best wishes. Sarah Turner-Saint, head of communications
