"Quick visit to A&E"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

As the local minor injury units were closed late one night I had to visit the main A&E department at Sunderland Royal. I expected that there would be a long as there were bound to be more serious cases to deal with however I was pleasantly surprised to have been seen and treated in just under an hour. The staff were there were great, they were easy to deal with and very professional.

Thank you for your positive feedback which will be shared with the Emergency Department staff. There are occasions when our patients do have to wait longer than we would like but the team has been working hard recently to implement a number of measures to improve waiting times and it was good to see that you did not have to wait too long before being treated. Thank you once again and we hope you are now fully recovered.
