"Urology Ward C6"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

Over the last few weeks or so due to kidney stone/infection issues I have had to be admitted onto this ward. The first time I had to have a stent fitted. The procedure was explained to me by the consultant who answered all the questions that I had both pre and post surgery which put me at ease. The nursing staff on this ward were absolutely fantastic I have to say. My first stay was for four nights and from a personal point of view all the nurses were a joy to be around in terms of their professionalism in their jobs and also their polite, courteous and joyful manner in sometimes difficult circumstances. Not long after my first stay I was re-admitted again for a further three nights and again their professionalism shone through. I have just received a date for further surgery soon and I can honestly say that I have no qualms being on this ward again as I know I will be treated and looked after well by the staff on there. They are a credit to the hospital and their profession. Chris Charles

Thank you, Chris, for taking the time to send us such positive feedback about your stay on ward C6. We pride ourselves in providing care that is both professional and friendly and it is heartening to know that the ward staff made your stay comfortable and put you at ease. We hope that all goes well with your next operation and that your experience during this visit is as positive as your previous visits. Comments from regular service users are invaluable and we would welcome any further feedback you wish to send to us.
