"appointments and whether you can or cannot see a doctor"

About: NHS England London

(as the patient),

I'v tried to get appointments on number of occasions only to be told by the receptionist that they have no appointment until 1-2 weeks later; emergency appointment out of the question as she did not think my problem requires an emergency appointment! Just a routine appointment as stated 1-2weeks. The receptionist is not a doctor and should not be telling patients what they think is emergency or not. Another thing if they cannot provide appointments for the patients they have now, why register more people. Trying to make an appointment over the phone is looking for diamonds. You are lucky if you even get through! And even when you get through, you have a long wait to speak to a human! Only to be told the same as above or ring back at 2pm. With so many patients the 30mins for phone appointmens is ridiculous.
