I arrived @ A &E by ambulance as a result of a horse riding accident, I do not remember the accident or hardly any thing until being on ward 28 in the evening. My daughter says my care (&hers) on A&E was 1st class. She did comment that the ambulance men did not seem sure of what to do when the ambulance that collected me had problems re getting the stretcher out. This was sorted by the paramedic who arrived separately. I have never been on a ward where I was so well looked after both medically & for general comfort & care. All the nurses & carers were outstanding. At no time did I feel lonely or worried, nor did I feel that I was a nuisance or would be better off going home. Im 66 yrs old & have seen the insides of a few hospitals both for sporting injuries & cancer care. I can only rate my experience as outstanding & hope that some one will pass on my thanks to A&E & ward 28,
