What I liked

The Nurses, Doctors, Consultants - everybody had time for us. They took the time to explain what was happening to our son and what would be happening. I never felt as though we were a burden or asked too many questions. Everybody was so kind that it was like leaving your friends behind when we finally took our 3 week old son home.

Anything else?

Our 3 week old son recently spent 10 days on Buxton ward and I wanted to express my gratification for the wonderful treatment we received from EVERYBODY. The nurses were ALL fantastic, not only did they look after our son, they always had a kind, reassuring word for Mum to! I don't have specific names as we saw so many people but this is for everybody that helped in the care of our son. I would also like to thank the refreshment lady, she brightened each evening with her friendly smile. She always had time for a chat and even remembered what drink I preferred, quite amazing when you consider the number of people she must come into contact with. She is a credit to you and it was very clear that she thoroughly enjoys her job - please make sure that she and the Nurses are all aware of how much they are appreciated. As far as I'm concerned they don't deserve any bad press and are worth they weight in gold!
