We have used the Huyton Walk in centre on various occasions for minor problems. The blood testing unit is excellent and for local people is saves having to travel to the main hospital.
My husband and I both had minor head wounds that were treated with care and thoughtfulness, again saving the need to attend the very busy A&E department.
Over Xmas period when the GPs surgery was closed, my husband called in, he has had coronary heart by-pass surgery and needed antibiotics for a sudden chest infection.
They arranged a doctor’s appointment that day and dealt with his problem quickly and without undue fuss.
There are many other services that we have not needed, but it is reassuring to know that they are there.
