Before my sessions with Inclusion Matters I was suffering from debilitating panic attacks and anxiety, making it hard to function during life. My work, home and social life were all affected, also my safety behaviours were having a negative effect in my health.
Throughout my sessions with Inclusion Matters, I developed a clear understanding of why I had panic attacks and what the exact trigger was, also how to manage my symptoms.
By challenging my “safety behaviour” and my triggers of panic attacks with constant support and encouragement from IM team. I was left feeling empowered and capable to perform everyday tasks that would previously cause me extreme anxiety and triggered panic attacks.
The whole experience has been very positive and life changing, the whole team including receptionist, therapist and phone support were extremely friendly and non-judgemental. I initially was anxious about seeking such support, however I am glad I overcame my stereotypical opinion of “therapy”, as I was completely wrong and it’s not all white coats, lay on a bed and imagery drawings as depicted in film. It’s like going to see a valuable friend that actually gives good advice.
