"What a difference a ward makes"

About: Warrington Hospital

Following a terrible experience in A&E and CDU this changed once moved to A9 and my relative received excellent care. You could see the staff were very busy but they never used this as an excuse to be abrupt and appear uncaring as we'd experienced on the other wards. The staff of A9 truly cared about the patients. On another note - I was really impressed with their attitude and understanding of Dementia and the little things they are doing to prepare for patients with signs of Dementia.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback for us. We're sorry that your initial experience in the emergency department wasn't so good and would be happy to look into that if you wanted to contact us. However, we're pleased that the care on the ward was so good. We are doing a lot of work around caring for our patients who also have dementia - from better facilities through to training and awareness for our staff - and it's good to hear that it has made a difference to your relative.
