"Unable to get a doctors appointment"

(as the patient),

I have hypertension and due to a family problem my blood pressure went up pretty high, but was not life threatening according to NHS 24. I tried to get an appointment with my GP, at Millig practice helensburgh, by ringing the surgery at 8 am and could not get through as the line was busy from 8-9.15 am. I tried again the next day and was told that all appointments had gone by 8.15 but that I could see the prescribing nurse.

I was worried and the problem with my blood pressure was also exacerbating my asthma. The nurse took my blood pressure and could not help because I really needed to see a doctor. I tried to make a pre bookable appointment with my GP but would have to wait 3-4 weeks.
