"Chest Clinic Visit"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

Today I visited the Chest Clinic for the first time. I was very impressed by the friendly and helpful approach by everyone involved. Even though the clinic is in an old building it was airy and bright, with plenty of natural light so often missed in newer buildings. My appointments were called on time, the lady who performed my lung function test was delightful and the Consultant was professionally reassuring. He listened to me, something also missed by many these days. I was completely happy with his explanation of my problem and the future tests he has ordered for me and feel very relieved to be a patient at Whipps Cross. Staff in the main building were especially friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. If I have any criticisms at all they would have to be that the radiators were still on despite the temperatures being in the 70s and, secondly, that I was unable to make an appointment then and there for a CT scan. Also that the staff in the Chest Clinic were unaware of that fact that I couldn't do it in person so that I could make my follow up appointment for after that visit Although it is an awkward journey from where I live I am pleased I made it and I feel very satisfied with my experience altogether.
