"Take someone in with you!"

About: Woodland Hospital

I was referred to Woodlands as an urgent case, by my GP as I had an eye problem. My initial consultation was short and I felt, not thorough. At my second appointment, a week later, with the same consultant, I took my husband in with me. There was a distinct improvement in attitude, length of consultation, attention and thoroughness. I really would advise anyone to take a relative or friend in with them, to avoid any differences of opinion that might occur. At both consultations I was told things that I found to be unhelpful. I have complained to the Matron and she has been very helpful, but I still feel that I need to advise future patients of my experience at Woodlands.

Thank you for your recent online feedback as well as your comments to Matron regarding your consultation. It is important that we receive feedback regarding our services and care delivery, to enable us to identify areas of good practice and identify areas of improvement.
