"Excellent treatment from the Wansbeck hospital"

I am a cancer patient, who , I am pleased to say, is in remission, but have six monthly check ups at the Wansbeck Clinic. Recently I discovered a lump in my lower back, as you can imagine I was concerned that the cancer had returned. I contacted the receptionist for the clinic ( who does a fantastic job under pressure and is always pleasant), to see if I could get an appointment to see my consultant re the lump. She spoke to the consultant who made me an appointment to attend the clinic 10 am the next day. I was seen by a consultant from the Wansbeck clinic who explained that they thought it was a fatty lump which is not cancerous, but to confirm arranged for me to have an ultrasound scan straight away. It was confirmed that the lump was not cancerous, to my obvious relief. To find a lump when you have not been diagnosed with cancer is scary enough, but I think when you know you have cancer and find a lump it's really scary. I cannot thank my consultants enough, the quick diagnoses and treatment I received, excellent, second to none. Thank you again Julie Peacock - a very happy and satisfied patient

Dear Julie   I am absolutely delighted that you have received such an excellent levels of care from the team at Wansbeck Hospital.  I understand how concerned  and scared you must have felt discovering the lump and how important it must have been to have a quick diagnosis. Knowing you have been cared for in such a timely and efficient manner is so reassuring.   Both the consultant and receptionist will really appreciate that you have taken the time to share how much you have valued the care and attention they have showed you.
