Staff lovely. The doctor was lovely.

What could be improved

One nurse was chewing gum...a bit off putting

She did not wash her hands in the cubicle after examining patients foot

Thank you for your general comments about our staff and the doctor you saw.

However, we are concerned to hear about the nurse who was chewing gum and was not seen to wash her hands. The Trust is extremely keen on all measures to control infection and to ensure that all staff observe the handwashing code. Patients and their relatives may challenge any member of staff if they believe they have forgotton to wash their hands. If this is difficult, they may inform another member of staff or the ward/department manager.
