What I liked

I was a day case in the treatment centre under the care of Gynaecology - all staff from the HCA and Nurses to the Consultant and Anaesthetist were fantastic - they were genuinely concerned about every step of my operation - pre and post operative - I live in Telford but would make RSH my choice of hospital everytime. I was originally listed to go down 4th but after they realised I had a latex allergy - theatre was rearranged and I went in 1st - there were no disruptions caused to anybody else and everything ran smoothly.Very impressive and it was all down to good management skills on the day ward.

What could be improved

The treatment centre should have been informed of my allergy before the theatre list was drafted at the pre op assessment stage but as I only had my pre op 2 days before my operation was scheduled I suppose this could be down to lack of time. Minor blip that was sorted easily and without fuss.
