"Sunderland ward"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

Sunderland ward Basic hygien would be a start I had two wisdom teeth removed on the 21st march 2014 what a comfort it was to see bried blood on my sheets and on the nurses uniform and then nurses walking around with a wet pad without bagging it up and if that wasn't bad enough the anaesthetist who treated me was covered in someone else's fresh blood .after reciveing no after care or help 6 days later I'm still in agony when I phoned for advise was told to go speak to a gp which I did who was shocked at the mess I'd been left in the infection so bad I'm now on 2 diffrent types of antibiotics and some very strong painkillers never ever would I go to this hospital again.

I am sorry to hear this and concerned to hear about your experience as this is far from the high standards we are committed to delivering. Please do contact me so I can discuss your care with you in more detail. Sara Songhurst Head of Nursing for Surgery 01634 830000 x6664 Email: sara.songhurst@medway.nhs.uk
