On Wed Feb 19th I fell over in Wigston. A passer -by called an ambulance which I didn't really need and the paramedics who treated me were very gracious and thorough. They advised me that my elbow was badly cut and would required several stitches. I attended A&E at 6.00pm, and my total wait was around just over 3 hours. I really had no problem with this - my injury was minor and throughout my wait I was treated with great kindness and professionalism. I was offered pain relief immediately and everything was explained as we went along. The staff were working under a lot of pressure but I felt that my comfort was important to them. The only possible improvement would have been if such a minor injury could have been dealt with at my local walk-in centre, which sadly was not an option when I rang them before going to A&E. Overall I have nothing but praise for the treatment I received. Jill Walton.
