"they saved my life..on a Saturday"

I'm sorry to read some of the more recent reviews. This hospital gave me amazing care one very busy winter day just over a year ago. They quickly picked up I needed an emergency operation and did this the next day. it was a 6 hr operation on a Saturday morning. Due to the care and diligence of the surgeons who removed over a metre of small bowel, they saved my life and I made a good recovery due to the attention and care I recieved. I am so grateful to this hospital and especially as I wasn't even from the area but was visiting relatives. There was a mention of transferring me to a local hospital but I asked if I could stay. Many thanks to Southport hospital for helping me, and hopefully the quality of care I received will be available to all patients.
