About: Birmingham Women's Hospital

I am so sorry to have to give a dismal review...I was a birthing partner only to witness a extremely traumatic birth. I have given birth twice & in fact both deliveries were complicated, so I know something about it. From arriving in the birth suite & requesting an epidural (which was not successful due to the anaesthetist ... Along with other problems that occurred during the labour. My daughter ended up in theatre to have a caesarean which had been put in wrong so when the incision was made she screamed the place down, there was panic in the theatre they had no time to correct it so she was put under. Midwife & trainee midwife were wonderful! Midwife suggested that we make a formal complaint as she had logged everything, and she was going to make a complaint herself....student midwife rang in after this shift to say she couldn't do the next shift because she was traumatised!
