"4 day wait for an "emergency" scan"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

I am 13 weeks pregnant and had severe bleeding this Wed night. I went straight to A&E where I had to wait for someone to look at me for 2.5 hours - soaking in blood and tears. When they finally got to me, no one from maternity services was available to see me. I was told I would have to "wait for hours" for this to happen and was encoraged not to. The general Dr looked at my cervix twice and concluded that it "may be closed". He was unsure. When he looked for the first time, lots of water gushed out if me along with more dark blood - my membranes must have been broken. They sent me home in the middle of the night still bleeding, stating that I need to return if my bleeding will get "heavier". I was booked for an "emergency" scan for Monday (!) - 5 sleepless nights away. I dont know if my baby is ok or already dead or dying inside if me. Having searched the internet, I now fear for my own safety worrying about infection or hemmorage or any other damage to my insides which impact my future pregnancy chances. I don't have that many at the age of nearly 42 with this first preciuos pregnancy being a result of many fruitless IVF attempts. I know that NHS is stretched, resources are limited etc, still I feel so badly let down. I know the maternity services staff are trying to do their best to help me but clearly the hospital facilities, staff and resources are lacking - which has to be addressed in the long term for the patients safety sake.
