"Stent blockage, heart attack, quadruple bypass grafts, recovery"

About: Derriford Hospital / Cardiac surgery Derriford Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

Dec 2013 - Stent blocked at the beach, ambulance to cardiac unit at Derriford hospital, Plymouth, Devon, UK, stent cleared, need for bypasses discovered

Jan 2014 - quadruple bypass

Lung drained. Discharged later same day

Atrial fibrillation, re-admission, Bisoprolol dose doubled

Chest-wound erupted, re-admitted, anti-biotics added

Now, (May 2014) completed cardiac gymnasium 6-week course, and my

recovery is steadily increasing.

I am deeply grateful to everyone on the hospital and rehabilitation staff, and to my wonderful partner, for the loving care, sound advice, understanding and inspiration I have received, and for saving both my life and the quality of my life. An absolutely outstanding group, as a team and as individuals.

In answer to a question asked by members of that team; I cannot imagine any way to improve the way you each and all do things.
