I took my son to A&E on Monday evening and spent over an hour waiting to be 'booked in' at reception. They seem to be operating a new system whereby you are first seen by a Health Professional at the first window and unless you are not breathing or are in any state that you probably would have called for an ambulance, you are then sent to the next window. So the queue for this booking in window was going out of the room and down the corridor. When we finally reached the booking in desk, amongst the other ridiculous questions such as 'how did you get to hosiptal today, by car?', I was asked 'did my child attend a playschool or childminder and if so, which one?'. No wonder the queue was so long if we are to asked totally irrelevant questions which have no importance to why I am at A&E for my sons health. Disgusted.
"Fewer questions for a mortgage application!"
