I had heard that an angiogram was a very unpleasant experience so was quite apprehensive and was not looking forward to Wednesday 14th May!!. the consultant and his team soon dispelled this myth and from the moment I arrived I felt cared for and they also made me laugh, which was great. I had choice of music during the procedure and could watch whilst all was explained in language I could understand. I do not want to name the staff personally in case I miss one out as every one of them went above and beyond but would like to sincerely thank all of them.

Thank you, Mary, for your kind comments about our Cardiology Day Case team. Any surgical procedure can be a daunting prospect and we strive to take that element of apprehension out of the process. Having things explained clearly goes a long way to help dispel any concerns a patient may have. We’re pleased the team cared for you so well and made you laugh; they do say laughter is the best medicine!

Care and compassion are at the heart of everything we do and it is rewarding to know that this shows. We will be sure to pass your compliments on to the team.
