This service conducts consultations in this hospital using employees of this hospital . It is appalling. In other counties this service does not use a hospital setting as patients don't need to be hospitalised , requiring CBT not ECT ( as is offered at this hospital) . Notification of CBT in a hospital setting severely increases your level of anxiety ( what I have been diagnosed with. ) The initial phone call assessment also severely increased my level of anxiety. There is a standard questionnaire to complete but was initially asked an off-topic question. 'How likely is it that you would go out an rob a bank? , 1 in 1000 of our patients would go out and rob a bank.' Legally, of course, my phone assessor has not divulged private patient information data but has manipulated statistics sufficiently enough to probably be referring to one individual in particular. I would not like this to happen to my case history. I have decided to see a clinical psychologist privately instead of using this NHS which would always be my preferred option.
