"My mastectomy at Macclesfield General Hospital"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

In October last year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at Macclesfield General Hospital and was admitted for a mastectomy operation, which was carried out under Mr. Kokan's care.

I cannot praise everyone involved enough. I was extremely frightened (who wouldn't be?), but all the staff involved were absolutely wonderful. The operation went really well and I experienced no post-op problems whatsoever.

A massive THANK YOU to Mr Kokan and his team, and all concerned at the Macclesfield General and also to Dr Whaley and staff at Park Green GP Surgery.

Thank you for writing in with your kind feedback about your stay in hospital. We were delighted to read that your operation went well and that you felt that our staff were wonderful, even though you were very frightened at the time. Our staff do heir best to reassure patients and to make their hospital experience as comfortable and as worry-free as possible.

Your comments will be passed on to Mr Kokan and his team, and to Park Green GP surgery.
