Due to the nature of my medical condition I was having a problem with continuous bleeding, but was not in any pain, and was initially reluctant to go to A&E. However when I arrived at the the department I was seen to very quickly. The receptionist, nurses and doctor all treated me with exceptional care, and were all willing to help me with my problem. The doctor who saw to me was extremely helpful and did everything to make sure there was nothing serious wrong, from getting my arm x-rayed and bloods taken by one of the nurses who had seen to me earlier, providing me with the right medicine and even calling the oncall haematologist, who rang me later in the day to relay the results of my bloods. For an injury that I wasn't overly worried about the staff all treated my situation with caution and made sure everything was ok. The care I received in the southampton a&e department was exceptional, and far better than I have often experienced with my specialist centre back in London
