"very disappointing"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

I was 1st sent to chorleg hospital referred by the emergency gp to thd medical assessment unit. They were extremely busy but it was late saturday o a bank holiday weekend 040514.it took approximately 2 hrs to be assessed and transfered to isolation. The staff were frisndly and offerex help. The follosinv day i had a ct dcan snd a lumber puncture. The results from the lp were positivd so i wad required to move to neuroward and no further requirement be in isolation. Once on the ward the staff were strict anx insistdd on led flat bed rest. I found quite reasssuring as i had no idea what was haplening or why and my family and i were becomming increasingly confirmed. Over the following few days i had a further 2 lumber punctures, a ct angiogram scan, an mri scan and a cerdbral angiogram. At 1 point i became quite distress as i was dhowing signs of confusion and the lack of communication was scaring me. I was then moved to nuero ward 2b at 1st i wad very skeptical, the staff appeared to be running everywhere. It soon becsme clear that the nursing staff were extremely under staffed. However, rather than work less anx make excuses they worked dxtremely hard, missed breaks, worked extra hrz to support staff of come into on time off not to leave colleagues in yhe lurch. So yes you may of had to wait a little longef for meds or lunch there was a very caring approach and impression. Nursing staff went above and beyond any expectations. On monday 12th may i dr eho wad extremely rude came to see patients and made the assessment that 3 patidnts were being moved off the ward to allow for 3 new admissions. This appeared quite llausible but the time and the drs mannor was very unreasonable leaving patidnts and nursing staff upset and delays in medical treatment. I was movdd to ghe sau on ward 12. At ghis point im unsure whetd to start. I wad put and still in a room that is normally used for triage, i have no curtains, side light, table, locker or any other ewuipmentvassociated with s eorking functiininv room. Also due to this the staff forgot inwad in the room so i as a confused neurologybpatientvwas left on my own all day with no observations, no food, my medication or anythi g else. I buzzed for a nurse anf became quite upset at which pkint i was informed i was not to wkrry if i waz that bad they would have put me closer to neurology staff. I havent seen a dr, understand any changes in my condition. Im currently sat in ghd rokm in thd pitch lack with no medication feeling very confused with all my family greatly cincerned in what essentjally is a broom cupboard. Unable to exain to staff exactly why im upset as they dont understand my condition. Wby could simple communication be used? J will be seeking tobe discharged tomorrow and hope i never have the misfortune of using ths departnent avain. I hope thd very deserving under valued staff who do work so hard for their patients on ward 2b get recognition which is deserved. The staff on sau were rude, unhelpfu
