About: Berwick Infirmary

My previous review re the removal of a plaster in Berwick hospital has been amended. After further investigation and my own persistence. I managed yo get an appointment in Berwicks fracture clinic. The telemedicine service was excellent as was the treatment by a technician to remove and re plaster my hand. I now have another appointment in 2 weeks. My own situation turned out well but I am still concerned that the surgery practise nurse insisted it could not be done in Berwick?? This is consistent with other patients complaints. For now though I am grateful not to have a long journey to Wansbeck. Thank you.

Dear Gordon I am really pleased that you have been able to access the care you needed at Berwick Infirmary. About 1 month ago, the Telemedicine service was extended to seeing new trauma patients. Previous to this the service was only available for review appointments. The recent introduction of this service may explain why the practice nurse may not have been aware it?
