"paediatric unit"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

My daughter (18 months old) has had a high fever which kept on spiking up. Initially the doctor at A&E (11am) did not even see any reason why my wife had bought her in and should give her calpol. It was only after my wife insisting that calpol had not been working for the last 72 hours and persuading the doctor to examine her that he informed her the she had a serious ear infection. She was admitted into the paediatric unit at which point the other doctors disagreed with the A&E doctors opinion and decided to carry out blood and urine tests, as well as insert a canular into her. They admitted her into the children's ward about 2pm, it is now 11.40pm, no doctor has been around to see her and the nursing staff have no information that they can give to us - unbelievable!!! They have kept telling us that the doctor will be around but none appears. I will be making a formal complaint not just to the hospital but the local NHS trust, Patient and Liaison Service and local MP as well, absolutely appalling service, lack of care and professionalism.
