"Excellent care and patiant support from the MRI..."

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

I have visit the Atkinson Morley wing's lower ground floor two days ago for an MRI. When I first approached there I have been welcomed by a very smiley faced receptionist lady. While I was waiting to be called for the scan I looked out to see if there's any water machine but didn't see any around so I have approached to the receptionist again to ask if there's any water machine. Then she said no, but she can go and get me a glass of water if I would like. I have accepted the offer and then she went inside the office to get me a glass of water! She could have easily told me that "im sorry no water" and leave it like that. But she did not! She went on the extra mile to make the patient happy and left her desk to go and get this water for me! Such a small thing made a big difference to me and my day! I then met the two radiographers. They were so kind and helped me with all the information including helping me with laying down and getting up from the MRI unit as I have got several spinal injuries after an motorway accident. Once I have finished with my scan I wanted to discuss few issues with one of the radiographers and she was so calm and listening to every single word what I had to say without disturbing or cutting off what I wanted to say. Then she was very kind enough and walked me to the reception desk again and explained them that what has happened and what needed to be done without the need of me repeating this to somebody else again. Thanks to them it got resolved within minutes! The bottom line in here is all these three individuals were 100% or more in their jobs! They showed me their great care towards the patients! They never hesitated to anything when it comes to the patients care and wellbeing! For sure the patients were their best interest at their hearts! Please pass this messege to the higher above whose in charge of these staff as they truly deserved to have some recognition from their bosses! This will also encourage other staff to perform more! We wish to have many more staff like these at our good old NHS! They really can make a difference to the NHS and we the public needs staff like this in NHS at all times!
