"I was referred to A&E on December ..."

About: The Whittington Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was referred to A&E on December 23rd 2008 by my doctor, as I had had a persistant headache and stabbing pains in my eyes for a number of days. Anyway, I was seen so quickly I couldn't believe it. All of the staff went out of their way to be courteous and check that I was ok. And I never felt forgotten about or neglected. The toilets I used were clean and the waiting area, although undergoing renovation, is much improved compared to a few years back when I accompanied a relative to A&E. In the end, after lots of tests, a drip and painkillers I was allowed to go home. But I was consulted about this all the way.

What could be improved

I couldn't fault the experience to be honest.

Anything else?

The staff really must be commended for the brilliant service they provided.
