"Insuffient staff on night shift in the crisis team in Hull"

About: Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust / Crisis resolution

(as the patient),

Yes just 2 people to cover the whole of Hull area and when I put a complaint in the reply from pals was that this was NHS guidelines. How on earth can this be allowed? 2 mental health workers to make house calls, home assessments and provide telephone support is just totally unrealistic. In my opinion it must be causing suffering and harm to hundreds of mental health patients.

When these 2 mental health workers are on home assessments, the phones are unmanned and only answer machines available leaving very vulnerable patients with absolutley no care and support.

The 2 mental health workers could have tens of people to do home assessments for, leaving people leaving urgent messages unmet for long periods of time. This is where I feel this is putting lives at risk and people could be going on to attempt suicide or harming themselves or others.

This surely cannot continue to happen.

How is this set up even being allowed?

In my opinion it's disgusting to have only 2 people on duty.
