"I can now control my worrying and live more positively"

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as the patient),

I started feeling rock bottom. After my first session with Kate, I felt mentally battered and bruised. I knew the counselling was going to require a lot of effort on my part – but I was there to change.

The homework was intense, but it worked. I felt the support given was at my level. Kate had clearly worked out I needed to make rapid changes and put me through my paces like a fast aerobics session.

Kate listened to me, helped me change my views about life and gave advice without interfering in a calm way. I ended up positive.

I began to realise that yes, the last 9 years have been tough. My dad has been killed, mum ill, work unbearable. But I was wallowing in so much self-pity and worrying so much, all my worries were making me worse.

I can now control my worrying and live more positively.

Thanks Kate. I can now enjoy my children again.

Dear Major536,

I am so pleased that after having 9 tough years, your sessions with kate have helped you to control your worries and feel positive again. You absolutely right- therapy itself can be difficult, and the homework intense, but it sounds like you have really worked hard and can now reap the benefits, espcially njoying time with your children.

I'll ensure Kate receives your feedback- she will be pleased to know that your sessions with her have made a positive difference to your life.

Kind regards

Tracey
