About: South Tyneside District Hospital

I went to the hospital friday 9th May, i had palpatations. From the reception staff right through to A & E nurses and doctors, the care I was given was excellent. Admitted to hospital and both wards had great staff. All very caring and at all times It was explained to me what was being done and why. I have not been admitted to hospital for a long time and I was impressed by how clean it was.Thank you to everyone who helped me in my time of need.

I am delighted your recent visit to A&E and subsequent hospital stay was of the high standard we pride ourselves in. I can fully appreciate how a visit to A&E and a stay in a hospital bed can create anxieties and I am very pleased the staff involved in your care were able to put you at ease and explained each aspect of your care. I will ensure your kind words are shared with the staff in the A&E Department and include them in my weekly bulletin that goes to all staff to ensure the relevant ward staff hear as well.
