"My experience with regard to my hip replacement on..."

About: Winfield Hospital

I have just had a total hip replacement, carried out, on 2nd April, and am now home, starting the recovery from same. I have to say that I was treated wonderfully well by everyone there, from the nursing staff down, and cannot praise you all enough. The professionalism, treatment and care was second to none, nothing was too much trouble and it was (almost) a pleasure to be in hospital. I have now started physio etc., at home, and at the Winfield, and can assure you I shall be following the rules to the letter, in order to get myself back to full fitness.. It would be totally unfair of me to single out individuals, as everyone who had contact with me during my stay, cared for me so well. Obviously the nursing staff, and surgeon of course, looked after my health and treatment before, during and after my operation, absolutely brilliantly, but the whole hospital works as a team, and I cannot thank you enough, without exception. Naturally, I would not wish my other hip to have to be replaced, but if it became necessary, I know where I would be heading for. I don't believe hospitals always get the recognition and appreciation for the dedicated work that they do, so once again, a huge thank you from me. Yours very gratefully, Brian Creemer
