"Opthalmology dept works well - some issues with..."

Very busy, very clean department with most staff working extremely hard to provide a service for local residents with vision issues. Apart from one useless temporary doctor, most have been very pleasant and explained treatment in detail. Department seems to have up to date technology, and caring staff bring a human touch - have never felt 'rushed' even though very busy. One problem - maybe due to being overstretched, appointments can sometimes slide, which is obviously a concern for patients needing e.g. AMD injections Still, given the expense of these injections and the fact that without the NHS nobody on a retirement income would be able to afford them, we should still be a little grateful.
