"Amazingly high standard of care for myself and premature son"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Maternity care Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

On Christmas Day, 6 weeks before my due date, my waters broke and I gave birth to my son a few days later.

Due to his prematurity he was taken to the neonatal unit. I cannot give enough praise to the staff on both NICU and the transitional care unit. The staff were unbelievably supportive and could not have done more to help through what was a difficult time. They weren't only committed to our son but also showed great compassion for both myself and my partner.

Once we were discharged home we were then supported with regular home visits from the lovely outreach nurses that answered any concerns that arose.

Overall, the maternity service was excellent from start to finish and would recommend to anybody.
