"Birthing Centre"

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

My daughter gave birth last Friday 2nd May. I had heard bad reviews in the past about this hospital, and unfortunately the birthing suite was fully booked when she went into labour at 2.00 a.m. so this was somewhat of a disappointment as she had to go onto the Ward. However, the care that she received on the ward was fantastic. She went into labour in the early hours of the morning and then at 8.00 the day staff came on duty. This is when the Sister arrived on the scene and well and truly took charge. She and her team were fantastic. She handled the whole labour with fun, enthusiasm, encouragement and laughter. Yes, laughter. My little grandson was born at 9.30 a.m. after a relatively short labour. We can only say a big thank you to all the staff for their efficiency, expertise, love and care. Many thanks.
