"please listen to the patient"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

had an appointment with my oncologist who was quite angry with me because my GP had referred me on for a second opinion, it was a good job it was my GP otherwise I would have been referred on the wrong person for the medical route I wished to take. The conversation then suddenely went off on a completely different tack and the consultant was demanding answers to something I knew nothing about. I was so stressed in case this consultant tried to influnce the person who would be seeing me for a second opinion. I have managed to resolve the situation with the other hospital. Was it necessary for me to be completely browbeaten in this way just because someones ego had been dented, it does not help people who are ill to be treated in this way. I cannot put the correct answer below because oncology is not on the list.
