I was a day patient in Jefferson Ward last week, receiving 3 days i.v. steroids for an ms relapse. While the particular doctor I had the misfortune to be treated by was inadequate, the nursing staff did everything in their power to resolve the issues that arose. They were busy working non-stop but showed me every care and compassion. When ms relapses, it is very frightening. One doesn't know what the future might hold. But these nurses were comforting, reassuring, gentle and kind. The essence of excellent nursing care
