admitted to pocu ward on sunday the 4th may at 7 30.care given was good ,enen though i was last on the list to go down to surgery for my knee replacement.nurses were very understanding as i have a fear of needles.was given emula cream to put on the back of my hand before going down to theatre.down in theatre everybody was nice and caring.no problem in recovery.up on pembroke ward at 7 30 in the evening.meet by my partner.nursing staff nice and helpful.didnt go much on the lights still being left on at 11 30 at night. The hospital food is horrible i hardly ate anything on my 4 day stay.one meal was ham salad 3 slices of ham 3 tomatoes and a pile of lettuce.i dont like lettuce.so one of the lunch time staff did me a toasted ham sandwich as the ham looked really nice.another day it was roast lamb roast potatoes cabbage and peas.it was so awful i only ate half a roast potatoe the lamb smelt as if it was off.what a waste in food.hospital food needs to b got offered nice and healthy not cheap and nasty.cant fault the staff on pembroke ward they are a really nice caring lot.the physios were also very nice and understanding.along with the consultants and registars.keep up the good work, but please work on the awlful food.plus one day we only got 2 hot drinks during the day time. so well done staff.the catering needs to be looked into
