I broke my right ankle on Friday 2nd May and was admitted to Queens that evening for surgery to correct this injury. I received exceptional care from the moment I was seen by the triage nurse through to when I was discharged. I would like to give special praise to the Doctor who manipulated my injury whilst I was in Majors, she really reassured me at a time when I was completely panicked. I stayed on Amber B ward and I can honestly say that the care I received there was as good as any I've had privately. Every member of staff was kind and caring and really made a difference to how I coped with my injury. A particular student nurse on that ward was particularly lovely and she will make an excellent member of staff when she qualifies. The theatre staff were all extremely reassuring during my operation especially the nurse who dealt with me in recovery. She was a member of staff you should be extremely grateful to have! I would like to pass on my gratitude to all that helped me and I will ensure that I recommend Queens to everybody I know! One little niggle of my stay was the food, which could definitely be improved but nobody's perfect huh!?! Thanks again to all concerned.
"Exceptional."
