"I liked the canteen too"

About: North Manchester General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I liked the canteen too

What could be improved

The car park where the disabled cars park near cardio has been removed. so to meet my husband I had to walk a long way after I had walked from the main entrance to get to the department.

Anything else?

I live right near Birch Hill Hospital and used to go there but now I have to travel all that way with equipment which being disabled I find heavy.

It took me 4 hours to get there once as the buses went past the stops instead of stopping. I think there should be a dedicated bus service instead of one that goes on to Manchester from there. Maybe one from Rochdale would help.

Also it says on my appointment letter if I miss my appointment time I will not be seen.

I keep getting told there will be a clinic in Rochdale soon but that has never happened.

The long corridor is daunting to able bodied people its a lot worse for older people and disabled. Maybe some thought should go into this insead of a seat now and then to rest. How can you rest when you have to be at your appointment or possibly miss it?
