From the moment I arrived at St Albans the receptionist made me feel at ease. When he introduced me to the wonderful nurse who took amazing care of me any worries I had were gone. The nurse was amazing , she made sure I was fully prepared for my operation , not only physically, but more importantly mentally. The surgeon who was operating and his staff were extremely caring and ensured before and after the operation that I understood everything about the operation and the care I needed to take after. I was impressed that the surgeon and anaesthetist and registra all took the time before and after to chat with all their patients to ensure they were all fine. The atmosphere in the day surgery unit is extremely positive and very relaxed and friendly. My experience was made the best it could be by the wonderfull staff.
