"Ward 20 Doncaster Royal Infirmary"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

I was admitted to Ward 20 on 1st April 2014 following a Bowel Cancer Operation feeling a little groggy, somewhat disoriented and very thirsty. Within minutes of being placed in the observation section of the ward l was cared for helped to relax and given some cold was given some chilled water. I have a better drink. Over the remaining days on the ward I could not have got better care despite the staff being so busy. During my stay I watched an incredible team of people take care of patients of varied ages including some elderly, and to my inexpert eye, confused people. Frankly I was awestruck with the manner in which they cared for patients giving not just care but the dignity they allowed all patients. I could not even contemplate doing the job of any staff on the ward they all were fantastic and I include all the support staff. Thank you all Thomas Gregory Crowther
