What I liked

I received excellent care at Barnsley Hospital whilst I was a patient there. I think all the staff were friendly, polite and very committed to their job. I also thought the food was very good.

What could be improved

The bedside TV and interent system was very tempramental and hardly seemed to work. It also seemed expensive for what it was. Also, the position of the TV in relation to the bed made it impossible to watch whist sitting up in bed which was the only position I could be in.

Thank you for your kind comments about your stay.

We are sorry you had difficulties with the bedside TV and phone system. Whilst is does provide Internet, radio, TV, email and a phone some patients do find it a bit expensive if they are in for several days but most appreciate the convenience it offers. We do also provide free TVs in the day rooms and public pay phones for patients to use instead. We regularly check the systems work properly and the arms swing freely but if you contact the PALS office (01226 432430) with your ward number we will make sure yours is checked and serviced.
