"A and E, Sunday 4 May, 2014"

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

My husband and myself accompanied my 94 year old father to A and E last Sunday ....my dad is in a nursing home and we were visiting him....he had had a procedure at Burton ten days earlier......the wound site had been disturbed and he was bleeding..... I cannot praise everyone we saw highly enough. The triage nurse was gentle and understanding...the doctor who put a couple of extra stitches in the wound was amazing with Dad....and at all times, we knew what was being done, why, and, had good instructions for when we took dad back to his home....more importantly, everyone spoke to and included Dad....what started as a traumatic trip ended up well. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. We are delighted that your visit to the hospital with your father met with your expectations and the staff in the Accident & Emergency department treated your father with respect and consideration.
